Blogging has unlocked a new world and opportunity for Chic on Wall Street that requires a great deal of time, work, and commitment. I’m not one for the whole “new year, new me” phrase for my blog/brand, but this the perfect time to create new goals that are realistic and obtainable. 2016 is becoming the year of execution and accountability!

Days before the New Year arrives, everyone reflects on the moments that have pasted and prepared for the moments to come. Can you believe Chic on Wall Street launched only 5 months ago? Believe me when I say this has been an amazing journey thus far! I’ve learned so much about the blogging community, branding/marketing, and ultimately myself as a blogger/founder.

AC·COUNT·A·BIL·I·TY – the quality or state of being accountable; especially :  an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one’s actions

EX·E·CU·TION – the act of doing or performing something

When you begin to execute an idea, no one ever informs you of the changes it has on you as an individual. Creating and maintaining a quality blog is NO JOKE! So, I need to hold myself accountable and create quality content on a more consistent basis. I have so many ideas (literally pages full) and its time to be a big girl and execute them! The two go hand in hand; especially with my goals for the New Year.

Remembering my purpose: “Inspire young professionals to feel amazing in their work/office style wear while doing amazing things in their profession”, these are my goals for 2016:

  • Two New Blog Posts Each Week/Create Blog Series – I’ll decide which days are better for my readers and apply themes to my posts to add creativity

  • Tweet at Least Once a Day – I’m already applying this, but I want to make sure I’m consistent

  • Participate In At Least One Blogger Chat a Week – whether its #ambitionista, #blkcreatives, or #fblchat, I want to create relationships with other bloggers, creatives, and enterprenuers

  • Collaborations – I have a few post ideas and would love to collab with other bloggers and brand to create quality content

  • Post on Instagram Three Times a Week – Instagram is more visual than twitter, so I want to create a presence that is consistent, relatable, and eye catching

  • Host a giveaway – I’m appreciative of ALL the support I’ve received thus far and as a token of my love, I want to give back

  • Plus much more!!!

All of these goals will be applied to my vision board for my blog! I’m attempting these tasks for the first 3 months (for accountability purposes), to see if my efforts are successful. I’m claiming success in 2016 and entering the year better than the last. Hopefully you  join me on this journey!

What are your goals for 2016?
